TAILGATING FAQ'S
Q: What is the cost of a tailgate pass?
A: Season tailgate passes are available for $250 and individual-game passes for $45/game. Each pass is good for one vehicle, in one parking spot.
Q: Where is the designated tailgate area?
A: Zone 13 on upper campus (See green areas on map).
The lot extends from Kennedy Theatre to Campus Center. This location is a quick 5-10 minute walk to Clarence T.C. Ching Complex. Click here for map
- Enter East-West Road off of Dole St. then turn left on Correa Road.
- Enter Maile Way off of University Ave. then turn right on Correa Road after Kennedy Theatre.
Q: Will I be able to cook at my tailgate spot?
A: Yes, Gas grills with a tank ranging from 5 lbs to 25 lbs are allowed. No charcoal, wood, or deep fryers.
Q: Can I tailgate in the parking structure?
A: No. Zone 20 is not part of the tailgate area. Tailgating in this parking structure is considered dangerous and “high risk”.
Q: Can I buy a tailgate pass when I arrive on the day of the game?
A: No, all tailgate passes need to be purchased ahead of time online.
Q: Can I set up a TV and watch the UH game at my tailgate spot?
A: No, the tailgate lot will close 30 minutes prior to kickoff and fans will be instructed to head to the game. Televisions are allowed as a part of your tailgate setup.
Q: Can I park the night before and leave my vehicle?
A: No, the tailgate lot will open four hours prior to kickoff.
Q: How far of a walk is it to Clarence T.C. Ching Complex from the designated tailgating lot?
A: From the furthest point of the Kennedy Theatre, it’s less than a quarter mile or a 10 minute walk. From the campus center portion of the tailgate lot, it’s a five minute walk.
Q: Can we drink alcohol at our tailgate gathering?
A: UH will enforce the same rules as your favorite beach spot and the previously stated rules at Aloha Stadium with no alcoholic beverage consumption in the parking lot.
