The University of Hawai‘i Athletics Department is taking deposits for new season tickets for the 2008-09 men’s basketball season.

Fans can place a $50 non-refundable deposit (per order, not per ticket) to help ensure the best available seats when call backs begin in September.

The deposit applies to new season-ticket purchases only, not renewals. Following the completion of the renewal process, fans will be contacted in the order that their deposit was received to secure their seat assignments and finalize payment.

Deposits for new season tickets can be paid online or at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office. They will be accepted until September.

An outstanding recruiting class, headlined by first-team junior college All-American Roderick Flemings, joins a young nucleus of returnees and is sure to bring excitement to the Stan Sheriff Center.

Four players return from last year’s squad – Bill Amis, Adhar Mayan, Kareem Nitoto, and Paul Campbell – as well as redshirts Ji Xiang and Conrad Fitzgerald. They will be joined by new recruits: Flemings, Brandon Adams, Petras Balocka, Adam Jespersen, Lasha Parghalava, and Hiram Thompson.

“We can’t wait to get this team out on the court,” Nash said. “I’m sure our fans will enjoy what they see and it would be great to see the arena full, supporting our new Rainbow Warriors.”
