’Bows Look To Bounce Back Versus CS Fullerton
Game Notes

Sophomore guard Kareem Nitoto and the Rainbow Warriors face Cal State Fullerton on Sunday at 5:05 p.m.
HONOLULUThe University of Hawai‘i Rainbow Warrior basketball team is back in action Sunday, Nov. 16, when it faces Cal State Fullerton on the second and final day of the Verizon Wireless Tip-Off Classic. Tip-off is set for 5:05 p.m.

Texas State will face San Francisco in the first game on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Hawai‘i looks to rebound following a season-opening 75-70 loss to San Francisco on Friday night. It was the third straight year that UH dropped its season opener and the second straight year it came in agonizing fashion. UH had an opportunity to send the game in overtime versus the Dons in the waning moments, but Roderick Flemings three-point attempt was just off the mark. The loss was UH’s eighth straight dating back to last season.

Cal State Fullerton, meanwhile, fell to Texas State, 76-66, in the opening game of the Tip-Off Classic on Friday. The Titans trailed by 17 at halftime and could never get on track versus the Bobcats. Fullerton is coming off a 24-9 in which they won the Big West Conference and qualified for the NCAA Tournament. The Titans return just one starter from last year, Josh Akognon (20.2 ppg), who was held to just 11 points versus Texas State.
