Warriors Arrive In Oregon; Ready For Pac-10’s Beavers

D-Line Poses at Oregon
EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Hawai'i Warrior football team conducted its final practice before Saturday's showdown with the Pac-10's Oregon State Beavers on Friday. The 45-minute walkthrough was conducted at the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore., where the team is sequestered.

On Saturday morning, the Warriors (1-1) will make the one-hour drive to Corvallis, Ore., for the 1:00 p.m. PT (10:00 a.m. HT) kick-off. A capacity crowd of more than 45,000, including an estimated 4,000 Warrior fans, is expected at Reser Stadium for OSU's home-opener. Temperatures are expected to be close to 80 degrees at kickoff with sunny skies and 40 percent humidity.

The game will be the eighth meeting between the Warriors and Beavers (0-2) with OSU holding a slight 4-3 advantage. It will mark a homecoming of sorts for UH head coach Greg McMackin, who grew up in nearby Springfield, Ore., attended Southern Oregon University and coached at Aloha High School, Western Oregon State, and Oregon Tech, the latter of which was his only previous head coaching stint since taking over the Warrior program this season.

In the teams' last meeting in the 2006 regular season finale, the Beavers outlasted the Warriors, 35-32, at Aloha Stadium. Since that defeat, UH has reeled off nine-straight home wins and have won 14 of 16 games.

UH fans can watch the game live on Oceanic Cable Pay-Per-View (Digital Ch. 255). A re-broadcast of the game will be shown on KFVE-TV at 9:30 p.m. Saturday night and 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Fans can also listen to the game live on ESPN 1420 AM, beginning with the “Countdown To Kickoff” show at 9:00 a.m. Neighbor islands can listen live on KNUI on Maui, KPUA in Hilo, KMWB in Kona.

Live audio streaming will be available at espn1420am.com, while live in-game stats will be available at osubeavers.com.
