STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's sailing gave a solid performance at the Bryson Women's Intersectional, hosted Oct. 24-25, by Stanford University. UH finished a close second in the fleet portion of the regatta and third during the team format.
A total of 14 races, seven each in both the A and B divisions were completed on Saturday, with the Rainbow Wahine tallying 42, just one points behind host and regatta champ Stanford.
Hannah Tuson-Turner and
Hanne Nagatani competed in the A division, while
Jaclyn McLoughlin,
Darla Baldwin and
Jessi Locke raced in the B division. On Sunday, the 10-team field competed in team racing with each school going head-to-head. UH won five races to finish in third place, while Stanford won all nine races.
Next up for the Rainbow Wahine is the PCCSC Fall Championships, Nov. 21-22, in Mission Bay, Calif.
