DENVER – University of Hawai'i women's diver Stephanie De Lima was named the Verizon Wireless Western Athletic Conference diver of the week, announced Tuesday by the conference office. This is the first WAC Player of the Week honor for De Lima in her career.

 

De Lima, a junior from Montreal, Quebec, posted three top-5 finishes last weekend at the USC Trojan Diving Invitational. On Friday, she placed fourth with a score of 287.20 on the 3-meter board and excelled on the platform with 224.90 adding a third-place finish.

 

On Saturday, the final day of the USC Trojan Diving Invitational, De Lima competed in the 1-meter and took second-place honors with a score of 295.75.

 

The UH swimming and diving team returns to action Nov. 19-21 when they participate at the Nike Cup in Long Beach, Calif.
