2009 NCAA Tournament Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS – The third-ranked University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team was selected as the No. 12 seed in the 2009 NCAA Tournament, announced Sunday afternoon by the NCAA. UH will face New Mexico in the first round on Friday, Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. PT at USC in Los Angeles.

 

For the second straight year, UH got sent to Los Angeles, as USC is the host institution for the first and second rounds, Dec. 4-5. USC will face Oklahoma on the other side of the bracket.

 

Overall, the Rainbow Wahine are in the Stanford Regional, with the winner of the first and second rounds advancing to Palo Alto, the following weekend, Dec. 11-12.

 

The Rainbow Wahine will play at 5 p.m., USC and Oklahoma will play at 7 p.m. Both times are Pacific. Saturday's second round match will be at 7 p.m.

 

New Mexico comes into the tournament with a 20-9 overall record and a 10-6 record in the Mountain West. USC finished 21-9 overall and 10-8 in the Pac-10 and Oklahoma finished 18-11 overall and 11-9 in the Big-12.
