Women Sailors Place 14th At St. Mary’s Women’s Intersectional

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine sailing team finished 14th at St. Mary's Women's Intersectional, held March 21-22, at the St. Mary's River.
 
A total of 18 schools participated in the two-day event. A week after the UH coed squad finished 10th at the same venue, the Rainbow Wahine found similar troubles in tricky conditions. The Rainbow Wahine finished 105 points off the pace with a total of 211 points. The College of Charleston won the regatta with 96 points, edging out Harvard (103) and Yale (104).
 
Hannah Tuson-Turner and Tahnee Allman finished 14th in the A division with 113 points, while Becky Mabardy, Danielle Hull and Jessi Locke placed 12th in the B division with 98 points.
 
Next up for the Rainbow Wahine is the St. Francis Invitational in San Francisco, April 4-5.
