University of Hawai`i Rainbow outfielder Kolten Wong and starting pitcher Matt Sisto were named to PIng! Baseball's All-Freshman teams Friday as first and third-teamers, respectively.

 

Wong started all 58 games for the 'Bows in centerfield in 2009, batting .341 with 11 home runs, 21 doubles, two triples, 52 RBI, 46 runs and 11 stolen bases. Along with his prowess at the plate, Wong also led the team with seven outfield assists.

 

The Hilo, Hawai`i, native earned Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year honors, batting a team-high .424 in conference games. He was also a first-team all-WAC honoree.

Sisto started 13 games for the Rainbows, going 5-4 with a 4.37 ERA and two complete games. He was second on the team with 82.1 innings pitched, striking out 50 with just 14 walks on the season.
