Cross Country Sends “B” Team To Chaminade Invite

The University of Hawai'i women's cross country team will compete in the Chaminade Invitational, Saturday, Oct. 22. The 5K race begins at 3:00 p.m. at Central O'ahu Regional Park.

Also competing along the UH and host Chaminade are the state's Division II programs. The Rainbow Wahine will use this race as final preparation for the Western Athletic Conference Championship, which UH will host at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course, Saturday, Oct. 29

Hawai'i has previously competed against the state's Division II programs at the season-opening Hawai'i Pacific Invitational, Big Wave Invitational, and UH-Hilo Invitational. Its “B” team participated in the BYU-Hawai'i Invite earlier this year.

UH has annually competed in the Chaminade Invitational, usually held in September. Last season, its “B” team finished fourth as Ashlee Jimenez placed seventh overall.
