36 Oceanic-Produced UH Telecasts To Air On Fox College Sports

Complete FCS Schedule

HONOLULU - Thirty-six (36) University of Hawaii sports telecasts, produced by Oceanic Time Warner Cable, will air on Fox College Sports on the mainland as part of a joint partnership between the UH Manoa Athletics Department, the Hawaii Tourism Authority, Oceanic, and Fox College Sports.

Three UH women's volleyball telecasts have already aired on FCS and upcoming telecasts of women's basketball, men's volleyball, baseball, and softball will air live and tape delayed (view complete schedule).

“I am very thankful the Hawaii Tourism Authority has stepped up to assist UH Athletics in making 36 of our sporting events available through Fox College Sports,” Jim Donovan, UH athletics director, said. “I'd also like to thank Oceanic Time Warner Cable for providing the telecasts. This exposure will greatly enhance our mainland recruiting and will be a pleasant surprise for many of our mainland fans."

The telecasts will be transmitted via satellite from Hawai`i and air live on Fox College Sports, which is available to more than 56 million households. Each telecast will also be replayed on FCS at least once following the live telecast. Commercials showcasing Hawai`i will be inserted into the telecasts, along with UH Manoa institutional spots.

“These telecasts will help to establish a unique connection between the Hawaiian Islands brand, Hawai'i's visitor industry and University of Hawai'i's athletics in cities within our key North America market,” said Mike McCartney, president and CEO of the HTA. “We are extremely pleased to have been able to partner with the University of Hawai'i, Oceanic and Fox College Sports. The national exposure generated by these telecasts is invaluable and will help to build on the Hawai'i brand in our major marketing areas within the Mountain West and Big West Conferences.”
