HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Warrior football team returns home following an 11-day road trip to host UC Davis of the Football Championship Subdivision, Saturday, Sept. 24. Kick-off is 6:00 p.m. at Aloha Stadium.
The Warriors (1-2) will look to rebound after suffering losses at Washington and UNLV during their most recent 11-day road trip. UH nearly overcame a three touchdown deficit in a 40-32 loss to the Huskies and fell behind 17-0 in a 40-20 loss to the Rebels.
Against UNLV, Hawai'i committed four turnovers, including three fumbles in the first five minutes of the second half, and saw the Rebels extend their lead to 27-7.
After dropping its first two games of the season, UC Davis (1-2) picked up its first win against San Diego, 31-3 last week in Davis, Calif.

“First Responders” To Be Honored: Hawaiian Telcom, the sponsor of Saturday's football game against UC-Davis, will join the City and County of Honolulu and Mayor Peter Carlisle in a special tribute to our local “First Responders.” These dedicated and brave individuals include: Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Emergency Service Personnel, Federal Law Enforcement Agencies and Military. Representatives of the “First Responders” group will join Mayor Carlisle on the field at halftime. Prior to the ceremony, a tribute video will be played on the Aloha Vision Video Board, honoring “First Responders” and the incredible service they provide to our community. Before the game, various command vehicles from the “First Responders” groups will be displayed in front of the Aloha Stadium ticket office on the east side of the stadium.
Ticket Discounts: UH season-ticket holders in all UH sports and paid members of the UH Alumni Association (UHAA) will receive 30% off select adult end zone tickets (maximum of eight) to the UC Davis football game on Saturday. A valid identification card is required when purchasing tickets at the Stan Sheriff Center or the Aloha Stadium Box Office. UHAA members must present their membership card. Tickets are in special sections and supplies are limited. Other restrictions may apply.
Warrior Storylines
- This game marks the first meeting between the schools and the first time UH will play a current member of the Great West Conference.
- UH has won its last nine games vs. FCS opponents dating back to 2001, including a 66-7 win over Charleston Southern last season.
- UH's average margin of victory during that span is 33.2 points.
- UH is 3-0 against FCS opponents under head coach Greg McMackin (def. Weber State, 36-17, in 2008; def. Central Arkansas, 25-20, in 2009; and def. Charleston Southern, 66-7 in 2010).
- This year marks the third time in four years that UH has started the season 1-2. After starting last season 1-2, the Warriors reeled off six straight wins and finished the season with a 10-4 record.
- UH has won its last seven regular season home games dating back to last season (last loss vs. USC, Sept. 2, 2010).
- UH head coach Greg McMackin own a 6-3 record in regular season home non-conference games.
- Following this week, UH will not play another home game until Oct. 22 (vs. New Mexico State). The Warriors will have played only two homes games through the first seven weeks of the regular season.
