HONOLULU – Season-ticket sales for the 2012-13 University of Hawai`i men's and women's basketball campaigns are on sale now. Fans can purchase season tickets online, at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office, or by calling 944-2697. The box office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on holidays).

The men's basketball squad will host 20 home games, beginning with an exhibition against Hawai'i Pacific on Nov. 2. The team officially opens the 2012-13 regular season against Maryland-Eastern Shore on Nov. 9 in the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Rainbow Classic. Hawai`i will also play host to the fourth annual Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, Dec. 22, 23 and 25, an ESPN BracketBuster game on Feb. 23 and nine league games as part of its debut season in the Big West Conference.

Four returning letterwinners, three returning redshirts and eight newcomers make up this year's Rainbow Warriors squad under the direction of third-year head coach Gib Arnold. Among the returnees is senior center Vander Joaquim, a first-team all-league and all-region selection.

The Rainbow Wahine, meanwhile, host 21 home games this year, beginning with an exhibition on Oct. 26 versus UH-Hilo. A total of 12 teams that advanced to post-season play are on this year's slate, including defending national champion Baylor. The 2012-13 season also marks UH's return to the Big West Conference, where the Rainbow Wahine competed for a dozen years before joining the Western Athletic Conference.

The Rainbow Wahine are led by first-year head coach Laura Beeman, who achieved success at the junior college, Division I and professional levels prior to her arrival at UH. Beeman returns six players who saw action on the court last season, including all-league selection Kamilah (Jackson) Martin. Six newcomers and two redshirts are also on the roster.

UH Manoa students receive free admission to all regular-season men's and women's home games, with the exception of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic. A valid UH Manoa student identification card is required.
