Norm Chow announced the signing of defensive end
Quenton Brown, of Eastern Arizona Junior College, and cornerback
Ne'Quan Phillips, of Southridge High School in Miami, Fla., to the 2012 signing class.
The pair brings the signing class total to 20 after Chow announced 18 signees during National Signing Day last Wednesday.
Brown, a 6-foot-3 end from Liburn, Ga., initially signed with Central Florida out of high school and redshirted during the 2010 season. He transferred to Eastern Arizona where he had a standout season, earning all-league and all-conference honors.
A native of Miami, Fla., Phillips was named to the All-Dade first-team on also saw playing time at running back on offense.

Attended Eastern Arizona Junior College for one year…played in eight games and recorded 40 total tackles and eight sacks…also had two forced fumbles…named first-team all-Western States Football League and first-team all-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference…redshirted at Central Florida in 2010…a 2010 graduate at Tucker High School in Liburn, Ga…helped Tucker to a 4A state championship with a 14-1 record…recorded 68 tackles, 10 sacks and blocked five kicks as a senior…as a junior, had 67 tackles, including nine sacks and eight tackles for loss, while also catching 30 passes as a tight end for 400 yards and four touchdowns…caught 27 more passes as a sophomore for 490 yards and four scores…played in the North-South All-Star Game…member of the National Honor Society…recruited out of high school by Miami (Fla.), Ole Miss, Michigan State, West Virginia and Marshall.

Miami Herald All-Dade first-team…recorded 60 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries…also saw time at running back and had 25 carries for 174 yards rushing and four receptions for 55 yards…helped team advance to the 4-8A championships game…participated in the Nike Miami-Dade vs. South Florida Challenge all-star game.
