Complete NSCAA All-West Region Teams
Two University of Hawai'i women's soccer players were honored with NSCAA All-West Region honors as senior forward
Addie Steiner earned a spot on the 11-player first team, while sophomore mid-fielder
Raisa Strom-Okimoto was a third-team selection.
Steiner—a first-team all-Big West selection—led Hawai'i with eight goals, one shy of the conference lead. Four of her scores were game-winners and she finished the 2016 season with 17 points. The Prairie Village, Kan., native was a two-time Big West Offensive Player of the Week.
Strom-Okimoto was Hawai'i's points leader in 2016 with 20 after scoring six goals and helping on eight more. Her eight assists tied for the most in the Big West and she also led the league with 62 shots on the season. The 'Aiea, O'ahu native started all 17 games for Hawai'i and had two game-winning goals and converted all three of her penalty kick opportunities. Strom-Okimoto also earned first-team Academic All-District and first-team all-Big West honors in 2016.
Steiner and Strom-Okimoto are Hawai'i's first NSCAA All-Region selections since
Storm Kenui earned a third-team nod in 2014. Steiner is the first NSCAA All-West Region first-team selection in program history.
