The purpose of the 2009 University of Hawaii Swim Camp is to teach proper stroke technique, water safety and increase comfort in-and-around water. This 5-day camp will include instruction on the four competitive swimming strokes, turns and starts.
Each day a different skill or stroke will be reviewed.
Sunday: Starts/Streamline/Turns
Monday: Freestyle
Tuesday: Backstroke
Wednesday: Breaststroke
Thursday: Butterfly
Additionally, nutrition, mental training and goal setting will be discussed.
The goal for each of the campers is to gain a better awareness for swimming, to learn in a fun and relaxing environment and create relationships with their peers who share the same common interest: "Swimming!"
We look forward to sharing this opportunity with everyone this summer. Mahalo!
